Azeroth Survivors troubleshooting

These are the ten problems we could verify, each with the symptom a player sees and the steps that address it. Where no official fix exists, the entry says so instead of inventing one.

Checked in game client v0.141.0 on 2026-11-05

This is a verified set of errors, not a frequency ranking. Start with the exact message on your screen; the ten headings below use the client's own wording where it has one.

1. This browser has no WebGPU

The game page will not start because the browser cannot use WebGPU.

  1. Use a current Chrome, Edge or Safari.
  2. On Linux Chrome, open chrome://flags/#enable-unsafe-webgpu, enable the flag, restart the browser and reopen the game.
  3. If it still fails, open chrome://gpu to see why WebGPU is unavailable.

2. WebGPU is present, but there is no graphics adapter

The browser supports WebGPU but cannot find a usable graphics card for the game.

  1. Turn on Use graphics acceleration when available in the browser settings.
  2. Update the graphics driver.
  3. On a Windows laptop with two graphics chips, open Windows Settings > System > Display > Graphics > Chrome (or Edge) > High performance.
  4. Restart the browser and reopen the game. Use chrome://gpu if it still fails.

3. WebGPU device lost or a black screen

The official loader treats a reset or lost graphics device as a reason the screen can go black.

  1. Reload the page.
  2. If it keeps happening, work through the adapter checks in problem 2: hardware acceleration, driver and dual-GPU setting.
  3. There is no single proven fix for every black screen; if the checks above do not help, the page cannot load on that setup.

4. Too many people are playing!!! or HTTP 429

The Worker that serves the game has used its daily request quota.

  1. Wait and try again later.
  2. Use the official Windows download if you want to play without waiting for the quota to reset.
  3. Do not keep opening new tabs; the quota is on the service, so new tabs do not bypass it.

5. Fake website detected! or a game embedded in another page

The loader refuses to start outside its allowed locations.

  1. Open https://wow.aethus.pl/ directly in its own tab.
  2. Do not use a copy of the game on another website or inside an iframe.
  3. The loader only starts on the official domain, a local development address or your own disk copy.

6. Co-op is unavailable: the co-op service cannot be reached.

This is what Lobbies, Host the lobby and Join by code all showed in the 2026-11-05 test. The client also has the shorter message the co-op service cannot be reached.

  1. Try again later; the failure was on the service side during the checked session.
  2. No official fix steps were available for this error, so there is no verified workaround to list here.

7. a different version of the game

The host and the joining player are not on the same game version.

  1. Compare the full version numbers on both sides, not just the first digits.
  2. Update both clients to the same version.
  3. After they match, host a new lobby and join that one.

8. the party is full

The lobby has no free slot.

  1. Ask the host to open the lobby settings.
  2. Raise Max players to the total party size. The buttons run from 1 to 5, and the host occupies one slot.
  3. Join again once the limit has room.

9. wrong password or no lobby with that code

The lobby code or password does not match the current lobby.

  1. Ask the host for the current lobby code and re-enter it exactly.
  2. Confirm the password with the host.
  3. Check whether the lobby is Public: in the list or Private: by code only. A private lobby is joined by code only.
  4. If the host recreated the lobby, use the new code; the old one is no longer valid.

10. Your class has not unlocked the zone or difficulty

The client is explicit: Everyone who joins needs this zone and difficulty open with their class. It also marks heroes in red when they have not opened that zone or difficulty.

  1. Check that your class has unlocked the zone.
  2. Check that your class has opened the difficulty; the previous difficulty has to be completed first.
  3. Ask the host to pick a zone and difficulty the whole party has open.
  4. Or finish the prerequisite zone or difficulty before joining that lobby.

If the page itself will not load

Run the browser check first. It reports WebGPU, graphics and input support, and it is faster than changing settings at random.
