All nine classes at a glance

Each card shows the class type, starting ability and our grade for both a safe first clear and a fast endgame clear. The grades are editorial guidance, not controlled DPS measurements.

The class grades are maintained for v0.141.0. Open the full Azeroth Survivors tier list for the reasoning behind each grade, or browse the recommended Azeroth Survivors builds for all nine classes.

Choose a class

How to choose a class

Start with the job you actually need the class to do. A first clear rewards recovery and defensive margin; an endgame run rewards speed and pattern knowledge.

First clear: play it safe

Paladin is the safest default: shields, self-healing, stuns and a one-time death save create room to recover. Druid is the other forgiving pick, with roots, Rejuvenation and forms that add health or melee pressure. Both trade some clear speed for stability.

Endgame: clear faster

Mage has the fastest pack-clearing tools but the smallest mistake budget. Hunter keeps range and lets a pet take pressure while its single-target damage stays excellent. Warlock is the patient alternative: slower to start, then one of the strongest late-run engines.

Melee with margin

Warrior is the most dependable melee class: high health, Cleave, Whirlwind and a straightforward damage plan. Rogue is the opposite bet, with faster attacks and stronger elite burst but the least room for a mistake.

What one grade cannot settle: a class can be excellent for a first clear and only average for farming. Read the two grades together and choose the job that matches your next run. See the full independent tier list.

Azeroth Survivors FAQ

Short answers about the planner, tier list and current game version.

Where can I play Azeroth Survivors?

The game is free to play in a browser and is made by Aethus. This site is a separate, fan-made planning resource.

What browser do I need?

A browser that supports WebGPU. There is nothing to install: the game runs in the browser.

Is there an official tier list?

No. There is no official class ranking, public win rate or equal-gear DPS benchmark. Our tier list is an editorial guide that separates first-clear safety from endgame clear speed.

Are the tier lists a player vote?

No. The grades are our editorial judgement, not a poll. They combine what each class kit does, how forgiving it is and how well its damage tools fit the two jobs being compared.

Where are game updates posted?

This site keeps a dated class-change summary. For the current game state, the version shown inside the game is always authoritative.

What version is the game on?

0.141.0, checked 2026-11-05.

Are the planner numbers exact?

The planner uses the skill and talent values checked for v0.141.0 on 2026-11-05. It enforces 51 talent points, tier requirements, full-rank prerequisites and the two mutually exclusive Demonology picks. Small client-side differences can still exist, so use the values shown in game when a choice is close.

How many classes are there?

Nine: Hunter, Warlock, Mage, Paladin, Warrior, Shaman, Priest, Druid and Rogue. Each starts with a different ability, listed on the class cards above.
